Shout! Factory Launches 24/7 Uncensored Horror Movie Channel

Shout! Factory announces Scream Factory TV, a new 24/7 channel featuring uncensored horror, sci-fi and thriller films.

Shout! Factory has officially announced Scream Factory TV, a “24/7 channel that is every fright-fan’s final resting place for horror, sci-fi, thrillers and more.”

As reported exclusively by Screen Rant, Scream Factory TV is set to launch on Friday, April 15. The channel is, of course, named for Scream Factory, Shout! Factory’s horror label. “Every movie comes uncensored and ready to terrify,” Shout! Factory explains. “Immerse yourself in the snarling monsters, stalking slashers, terrifying aliens, and shocking moments that have haunted you for years. Stream and Scream with the new channel that’s so good… it’s scary.”

In addition to featuring a number of horror and sci-fi classics, Scream Factory TV will host “special events” and “curated marathons.” The films that will be featured on the channel at launch include Bad Moon, BlackChristmas, carnival of souls, The Cat O’ Nine Tails, shopping mall, Class of 1984, Communion, The Company of Wolves, The Crush, dark star, Day of the Dead, The Exorcist III, Forbidden World, Galaxy of Terror, House on Haunted Hill, Humanoids from the Deep, The Last Man on Earth, Magic, Night of the Demons, Night of the Living Dead, Nightbreed: Director’s Cut, Nosferatu, piranha (1978), Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2, Sleepaway Camp, The Slumber Party Massacre, The Stepfather, willard, witch board and Witchery.

Shout! Factory got its start by giving physical home releases to cult classic films and television shows. The Scream Factory label serves a similar purpose, albeit with a focus on the horror genre, putting out hi-def Collector’s Editions for fan-favorites like Army of Darkness, The Thing, Trick ‘r Treat, Carrie, Elvira’s Haunted Hills and many more. The label is also known for releasing box sets for beloved horror franchises like Friday the 13th and Halloween.

In recent years, Shout! Factory has expanded its reach to give high-end home releases to more mainstream productions, including both classic and modern children’s shows like Power Rangers and Gravity Falls. The company previously expanded to TV-style distribution with the streaming service Shout! Factory TV, which launched back in 2015 and is available on a number platforms, including Roku, Apple TV and more.
